great initiative on his part. when you think about it we dump stuff that can be fixed and used by other people. Now picking up the food from garbage is a little too much, I would take but not for consumption, I would get it for compost.
ebay is proof that someone else's junk is another person's treasure.
i dumpster dive all the time, you can find some good stuff. people throw away good stuff all the time.
He's being nice to the environment but on the other hand, there are easier ways to recycle :P
